Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant/Audit Manager to join our team This Senior Accountant will be responsible for leading a virtual team of accountants for a growing CPA firm that is missionally minded doing most of their work for churches and nonprofits.

As a member of our accounting team, the CPA is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports for corporate and non-profit client organizations. The CPA performs duties related to accounting and write-up services, review taxes (forms 1040 and 990), and financial and business consulting. The CPA becomes familiar with our client’s business and builds relationships to act as a source of information and support for the leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:

‡ Respond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

‡ Final review of compiled financial statements and tax returns

‡ Report financial information to client management.

‡ Perform duties related to preparation of compiled financials, taxes, and financial consulting.

‡ Recommend fiscally advantageous methods to save money/taxes.

‡ Ability to perform bookkeeping as needed.

‡ Advise in areas such as payroll, benefits, and industry related best business practices.

‡ Review/analyze budgets and forecasting, including taxes, cash flow, KPIs.

 

Preferred Training and Background:

· CPA license required with a Bachelor’s degree

· 5+ years of experience with compilations and write-up work

· Experience with non-profits

· Ability to build professional relationships with client leaders

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Experience with QuickBooks
