Community Church at Lake Wylie exists to reach every generation with the Love and Hope of Jesus Christ. As an essential part of that mission, we strive to be wise stewards and excellent managers of our financial resources. To that end, we are looking to hire a Business Manager who will oversee our church’s financial life.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the weekly finances of the church.
  • Oversee the donation process.
  • Run payroll with our third-party processor.
  • Handle vendor invoices and payments.
  • Manage and support the church budgeting process.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and facilitate the church’s annual audit.
  • Oversee ministry expense reimbursements.
  • Support the management of the CCLW Foundation accounts.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the church Treasurer (a member of our Leadership Council)
  • Partner with the Church Administrator to maintain a professional and cohesive administrative culture.
  • Facilitate staff onboarding.

Personal and professional Qualifications

  • A growing Christian faith
  • A warm, professional demeanor.
  • Associates Degree or higher; bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience, e.g. with AP, AR, and payroll.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
  • Familiarity with other relevant software like Expensify, Bills.com, etc.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Key personal qualities: friendly, self-motivated, reliable, flexible, able to meet deadlines, takes the initiative to improve organizational efficiency.

Office Hours:  Mon-Thursday from 8:30 - 4:00 PM
