Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer with between 3 to 10 years’ experience. Candidates should have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of manufacturing, engineering & quality personnel. This is a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturer of precision gears in Downers Grove IL. This would be in a Union shop.


Job Duties:

  • Prepare and layout detailed manufacturing process plans for new parts utilizing Solidworks (modeling and drafting) and Epicor (ERP).
  • Review and interpret customer purchase order, drawings and specifications for incorporation into the manufacturing process plan.
  • Review and interpret customer purchase order, drawings and specifications for manufacturing process plan compliance.
  • Incorporate engineering changes to existing process plans.
  • Review existing tool and gage inventory for use in the manufacturing process plan.
  • Design and order new tooling as necessary.
  • Interacting with manufacturing to resolve issues as they are encountered.
