Electrical Engineer 

Position Reports To:

Engineering Manager

Position Summary:

The Electrical Engineeris a multidimensional position focusing electrical systems design, development and testing of equipment using SolidWorks solid modeling engineering software. 

The Electrical Engineer will work within a team of consisting of mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and CAE engineers as well as manufacturing engineers to support the development and manufacturing of Eberbach products.

The Electrical Engineering is a growth position, Eberbach is looking for technology driven person with the skills in machine programming in different languages from C++ to Siemens TIA Portal and SIMATIC Win CC to MotionWorks and Movicon for System Engineering.

The Electrical Engineer position will be responsible for working in a Team environment to support new product designs, develop technical manuals, writing reports and keeping track of various assignments and overseeing manufacturing with creativity and innovation.  Working in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations and Manufacturing, this role is a dynamic role that will help drive innovation and growth of the company.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead efforts regarding application of machine code throughout the plant
  • Create electrical drawings and schematics using SolidWorks Electrical
  • Set up wire cutting / stripping machine and Brady wire labeling system
  • Lead efforts to upgrade and improve PLC controls and operations
  • Support bar code systems throughout the plant
  • Support process and machinery capability studies and equipment installations
  • Support validation of all new and modified processes
  • Assure compliance with ergonomic guidelines
  • Participate when required in PFMEA and work instruction reviews
  • Ensure that equipment meets all applicable industrial standards
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects (e.g. cost reduction, efficiency improvement)
  • Lead controls specification development for machinery and equipment
  • Support weekend work as required

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years working experience with SolidWorks Electrical or Autocad Electrical
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to read assembly diagrams and part prints.
  • Good attitude
  • Hard worker
  • Able to work in a Team environment

Preferred:

  • Experience with ISO Processes
  • Experience with C++, Siemens TIA Portal, SIMATIC, Win CC, MotionWorks and/or Movicon
