HPJ Performance is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic with a specialization in high-performance vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience working with a variety of high-performance cars, particularly Ford, Mustang, Chevy, and Dodge models. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing installations and upgrades related to blowers, turbos, power adders, and associated components. Candidate should have a formal background in automotive mechanic education. Highly experienced high-performance and racing mechanics will be considered. Must have your own tools.

Compensation:

$22 - $25 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on high-performance vehicles, including Ford, Mustang, Chevy, and Dodge models.
  • Installing and configuring blowers, turbos, and power adders to enhance vehicle performance.
  • Performing modifications to engines, exhaust systems, fuel systems, and other components to optimize power and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues with precision and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring proper handling of tools and equipment.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to high-performance automotive technology.
  • Documenting work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and any additional recommendations for the customer.
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, with a focus on high-performance vehicles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ford, Mustang, Chevy, and Dodge models, including their engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in installing and tuning blowers, turbos, and power adders for improved vehicle performance.
  • Familiarity with aftermarket performance parts and accessories, including intake systems, exhaust systems, and suspension upgrades.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Certification from an accredited automotive technology program or equivalent experience is preferred.
