Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Embroidery:

  • Create/re-create artwork as needed
  • Work with digitizers to have artwork digitized for embroidery
  • Understand and be able to select thread colors based on design requests
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with production department
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with customers as needed
  • Maintain timely delivery of artwork and ensure procedure is followed in all cases
  • Make edits to designs and manage the art approval process
  • Update Account Manager throughout the process

Screen Printing:

  • Create/re-create artwork as needed for apparel
  • Handle all aspects of assigned art for apparel screen printing production
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with production department
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with customers as needed
  • Maintain timely delivery of artwork and ensure procedure is followed in all cases
  • Create color separations for screen printing from artwork
  • Create proofs for client to show layout, dimensions, locations, ink colors, etc
  • Update Account Manager throughout the process
  • Make edits to designs and manage the art approval process
  • Measure final sizing of logos for all garments

General Art:

  • Create advertising flyers/banners/catalogs/brochures

Other:

  • Performs other job duties as needed

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in decorating / customizing production environment for apparel and other soft goods is required.
  • Experience utilizing screen printing, heat transfer, and embroidery decorating methods are recommended.
  • Skilled with a broad spectrum of apparel screen printing and embroidery equipment and software to include manual printers, automatic printers, and multi-head embroidery machines is preferred.
  • Problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to work according to prescribed production procedures and processes.
  • Ability to undertake a wide variety of tasks, effectively prioritizing where needed
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic, including team and goal orientation.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude

High computer literacy and skills (Windows 7/8, MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign)
