Responsibilities:

  • Prepare client-provided digital files for print production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Perform pre-flight checks on incoming files to identify and resolve potential issues such as resolution, color space, fonts, and image clarity.
  • Utilize Adobe InDesign to make necessary adjustments and modifications to files as required.
  • Collaborate with designers and clients to clarify artwork specifications and ensure all design elements are correctly formatted for print.
  • Assist in maintaining digital and physical filing systems to ensure efficient workflow and file retrieval.
  • Coordinate with the production team to prioritize jobs and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment related to the pre-press process, reporting any issues promptly.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign; experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of digital file formats (PDF, EPS, TIFF, etc.) and their implications for print production.
  • Familiarity with pre-press and printing processes, including color management and imposition.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to consistently deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and layout composition is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional graphic design education preferred.
  • Experience in printing or graphic arts industry a plus.
  • Adaptability to new technology and software updates.
