We are seeking a Litigation Defense Attorney to join our active practice. This is a full-time hybrid role for an attorney to handle the defense of lawsuits involving NY Labor Law, premises liability, municipal liability, automobile accidents, catastrophic torts, and product liability. The attorney will be responsible for case handling, including motions, legal research, comprehensive case assessment and client reporting, depositions and court appearances. This role is located in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for remote work.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in law with knowledge of litigation of construction site accidents, premises liability claims, vehicular claims, product liability, and/or municipal liability 
  • Experience in handling motions, appearing in court and conducting depositions
  • Responsible for the preparation, exchange and review of discovery, including medical records
  • Interview clients and witnesses, factual investigation of allegations
  • Familiarity with state and federal courts in New York (New Jersey experience a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Admission to the New York bar
  • Experience in insurance coverage is a plus
