The Advisor/Project Manager will lead, coordinate, and work alongside team members to produce high-quality analysis and reporting products for the Army’s Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI) on our Army Portfolio & Asset Management project. The individual will maintain constant awareness of client needs and manage teams to address client requirements.


MHPI projects are master-planned residential communities and are located at Army Installations nationwide. The Military Housing group identifies and implements strategies that allow public sector organizations to fully leverage their real property in close alignment with their organizational missions. Further, the Military Housing group assists the Client in developing policy directives and provides various written materials to facilitate the Client and Congressional decision-making processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of written reports and numerical analysis that are delivered to the client
  • Assist in managing the relationship with the client and serve as a point of contact to match client needs with the company’s staff and capabilities
  • Take charge of situations by using available staff and resources to identify and resolve issues without being told
  • Coordinate and synchronize efforts between team members, partners, and client staff to accomplish projects and tasks that are often late-notice and rapidly changing
  • Maintain awareness of the status of active projects and keep contract leadership and team members informed to maximize the time available for the team to accomplish tasks
  • Maintain contact with internal staff and client personnel through constant communication to maintain awareness and share status updates with the team
  • Lead team of financial analysts through both routine reporting and ad hoc projects
  • Writing and editing deliverables
  • Write high-quality information papers, memoranda, PowerPoint presentations, reports, and other written deliverables with polished and professional language
  • Support legislative and external affairs by drafting and editing statements for congressional hearings and responses to requests for information
  • Train and instruct team members to enhance team performance and ensure outstanding service to client
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the quality of work produced by the team
Requirements:
  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills in briefings and presentations, reports, papers, memoranda, Legislative hearing statements, and correspondence
  • Knowledge of legislative affairs and experience with congressional hearing statements and requests for information is a plus
  • Professional speaking and presentation skills
  • Background and a solid understanding of real estate, especially asset management and finance
  • Strong financial modeling skills and advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA macro skills beneficial)
  • Ability to stay organized and poised within a complicated and rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to communicate, coordinate, lead, and build/maintain relationships across multiple organizations
  • Ability to learn and adapt to get things done with little or ambiguous guidance
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for the quality of work produced by the team
  • Ability to adapt to different personalities across differing corporate cultures
  • Ability to “manage upward” with people who may or may not be part of your team or under your responsibility
  • Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent PowerPoint abilities


EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with 10 years of relevant experience
