Job DescriptionJob Description

The Corporate Staff Accountant performs high quality and detailed data entry and other support service functions relating to the financial services of the Company, including the tracking and collecting of customer payments, reconciling various general ledger accounts, and supporting the period close process.  This position deals with various external customer contacts surrounding collections and payments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recording of cash receipts
  • Coding and posting of accounts payable invoices
  • Processing vendor payments
  • Handling and maintaining customer collections
  • Researching and correcting account discrepancies
  • Assisting processing of payroll
  • Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
  • Maintaining fixed asset reporting
  • Supporting month end and year end close
  • Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assists with internal controls (SOX)
  • Assist other member of the accounting department as needed

 

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite – primarily excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understanding and adherence to general accounting principles
  • Good organizational skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work with other or independently
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to exercise discretion

 

Requirements:

  • Accounting or related degree preferred
  • 1-3 years experience

Immediate opening

Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

Salary commensurate with knowledge, experience
