Job Summary: The Crisis Intervention Specialist is responsible for overseeing the implementation and administration of the crisis intervention specialist position and provide services to the System of Care community, Human Trafficking community and vulnerable population.

The Crisis Intervention Specialist is responsible for managing the data, goals, and objectives for the grant, completing mandatory reporting, assisting the Continuum of Care and provide onsite Crisis behavioral and mental health care to any youth with trauma onsite or remotely.


Key Responsibilities: • Provides a wide variety of clinical tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Director of Health and Wellness. • Provide onsite or virtual crisis prevention and intervention services to clients with trauma and resource coordination services. • Provide mental health and substance abuse counseling to children, adolescents, adults and/or families, using empirically evidenced based protocols as appropriate. • Provides individual, family, and group counseling sessions. • Completes required clinical documentation collaboratively with client or no later than 24 hours after the service has been provided. • Maintains ongoing chart audits to ensure compliance and quality assurance of services provided. • Demonstrates knowledge of DSM-5. • Serves as liaison for the client, family, referral source and other social services agencies. • Presents in a professional manner in the community, in person, on the telephone and in verbal and written communication including times of extreme stress and when others are upset. • Supports the development and implementation of individual treatment plans for each client served and update annually. • Completes discharge reports upon discharging each client.

Requirements:
  • Must be a licensed behavioral health professional (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and best practices.
