Salary: $15/hour, 7 hours daily


Job Purpose: Assist in providing restorative and intervention services for students
Full-time, 189 days following the school district calendar. Additional days, as needed.
The Restorative Room manages restorative, stress management, preventative and intervention
services for students. The Restorative Interventionist supports the Restorative Room/ Program
Coordinator and Restorative Specialist in interventions and responsibilities to support students in need
of these services.


Responsibilities
● Supports the Restorative Room staff in program services related to restorative supports as they
relate to solving conflicts and repairing harm within the school community.
● Uses safe, responsible and respectful principles in providing services to students.
● Provide input to the Restorative Room team regarding restorative, intervention and other data as
presented on these topics.
● Escorting students to and from the Restorative Room as needed, especially in cases in which there is a request for an escort due to a student in need or crisis.
● Use of de-escalation strategies and supervision of students from the classroom or other school
location to the Restorative Room.
● Supports staff across the building by leading de-escalation and resolution of student conflicts by
implementing restorative practices as needed.
● Serves as member of the building Crisis Team
● Assists when needed to keep daily records of student visits, conversations, and interventions.
● Assist in facilitation or participation in restorative circles.
● Assists the Restorative Room staff in engaging in restorative practice lessons with students.
● Assists the Restorative Room/Program Coordinator and Restorative Specialist with outside
resources to hold community nights throughout the year for parents to learn about mental health
and other services in the community available to help their families and invites these services to
meet with groups of those interested in further information or assistance.
● Participate in professional learning to increase knowledge and improve skill
● Beginning 2024-2025 school year
● Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Theoretical and practical understanding of restorative practices, conflict resolution and
de-escalation, plus a commitment to attend prescribed professional development to develop necessary skills.
● Trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention, Restorative Practices, Trauma Informed Care, or similar
● Ability to engage youths (and adults) to facilitate difficult conversations.

● Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when appropriate.
● History of building successful relationships with adults and school-aged children
● Excellent communication skills
● Ability to provide interventions to students struggling with issues related to mental health
● Ability to invest others in implementing the vision of school culture and student discipline
using restorative practices
● Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders


Leadership Qualities● Detail oriented and thoroughly organized with large quantity of information
● Technology based communication skills - Video, Computer, Software: PowerSchool ( or
other SIS), Google
● Demonstrates reliability and meets deadlines


Physical Demands
Majority of work will be performed in a general office/school environment. Position may include availability
for professional development opportunities outside of the scheduled work day. Also hours may include
participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.
