Social Media Manager Needed Long-Term for Romance Book Publisher

 

RoseHarbor is excited to engage with our audience by connecting through captivating social media initiatives in the Romance Genre. We are a rapidly growing company committed to excellence in publishing services and are currently seeking an experienced Social Media Manager who has the creativity and enthusiasm to support our new offerings through social media platforms and online communications.

The ideal candidate should possess management experience, as there is the potential for advancement within the role. They will develop social media content with a heavy emphasis on our publishing services and a focus on romance genre books and authors while implementing our core values of creativity, integrity, and growth, thus strengthening consumer and customer engagement with RoseHarbor. The social media manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies to organically grow our authors’ brands, primarily on Instagram and TikTok, targeting a core audience of women aged 19-30.

As a Social Media Manager specializing in the Romance genre, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to engage readers, promote authors, and drive book sales within the romance fiction market. You will leverage various social media platforms to cultivate an online community, increase brand awareness, and foster meaningful interactions with fans and followers.

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Content creation and curation, platform management, community engagement, and campaign development.
  • Use of analytics and trend monitoring research.
  • Content calendar management.
  • Develop and execute innovative social media strategies to enhance the online presence and brand identity of our authors on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and others.
  • Manage all aspects of social media interactions for authors, ensuring a cohesive and engaging brand voice across all channels.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including newsletter creations, distributions, and engaging performance analysis.
  • Oversee the management of the author’s Gmail accounts, ensuring timely and professional communication with fans, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with influencers and content creators to promote our authors and their works, coordinating campaigns that align with our brand values and audience interests.
  • Stay informed of current trends in the romance publishing industry, social media, and digital marketing to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge and relevant.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field. An associate's degree in related fields, plus 7 years of experience, or 15 years of related experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous management experience in the area of social media is required.
  • Proven experience in social media management and digital marketing, preferably in book publishing industry or related fields.
  • Strong familiarity with the cultural market trends within the United States, especially those relevant to the book publishing industry and our target demographic.
  • Excellent command of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok, with a track record of growing brands or personalities organically on these platforms.
  • Experience in managing email marketing campaigns and familiarity with email marketing tools.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging content that resonates with our target audience. 
  • Creative thinker with the ability to conceptualize and implement innovative marketing strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and authors’ accounts simultaneously. 

 

 

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in content creation tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.
  • Experience working with influencers and content creators, with an established network of contacts in the social media landscape.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
