KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review monthly and quarterly accounting reconciliations and financial reporting packages.
  • Manage various alternative investments and investments in affiliated companies.
  • Set goals, delegate and provide guidance regarding both special projects and daily work.
  • Manage banking and customer relationships.
  • Solve problems and answer questions from staff and management.
  • Provide development opportunities for associates and timely feedback on accomplishments.
  • Develop and oversee department goals related to progress reporting and performance metrics
  • Provide executive level reporting to business unit leadership and Accounting/Finance leadership
  • Evaluate and implement process changes to drive efficiency
  • Set and maintain internal control policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 7 years private experience or 3 years public experience preferred.
  • Position requires the ability to influence, lead, and manage change thoughtfully and positively. Must possess strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to balance and prioritize multiple day-to-day and ongoing projects simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • CPA preferred but not required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
