Shipping/Receiving: Forklift Driver & Order Picker

The Deli Source, Inc., a cheese conversion and packing company, located in Kenosha, WI is looking for an order picker/forklift drivers.

2nd shift 1pm - 10:00pm Mon-Friday (Will work one Saturday a month for inventory, as needed)

PAY RATE: $20.00 (and an additional $3 additional per hour, if you have perfect attendance each week)

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Picks cases of products to complete orders for out-going shipments, verifies quantities and confirms that descriptions match the customer order.
  • Accurate picking and staging of out-bound orders as well as distributing and maintaining shipping materials for the company.
  • Accurate and safe storing, shipping and receiving of product, as well as loading/unloading products off trucks, while using a forklift
  • Ensures all required forms are attached and completed accurately.
  • Pallets are properly labeled, including weight sheets.
  • Ensure that proper height, weight, and other load and storage requirements are specific to handling requirements of the customer.
  • Verify all in-bound orders and materials against receiving documents, accurately verify quantity, description of materials, and correct PO’s received, match the packing list.
  • Verifies completed orders are ready to ship, including correct number of pallets needed, proper height, weight, and other load and storage requirements are specific to handling requirements of the customer.

Requirements:

  • MUST have warehouse scanning experience, SAGE a plus.
  • At least 2-3 years of previous warehouse, forklift, pallet jack and material handling experience required, including ability to maneuver a forklift and/or pallet jack through limited space areas.
  • Ability to read and understand job orders for correct product and write legibly.
  • Strong math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including the ability to count accurately, understand and calculate weight reports.
  • Strong sense of urgency and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Adapt and accept changes based on production demands and schedules (may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling). Must have flexible hours to work days or nights, as needed.
  • Good attendance is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move product on a regular basis.
  • Ability to walk, bend, reach, twist, push, and pull without restriction.
  • Requires use of a pallet jack and forklift.
