Concrete Foreman LOCATION: New Orleans & LaPlace
Join us as a talented and experienced Concrete Foreman for large scale concrete projects and heavy civil work. Projects will range from industrial, commercial, municipal, bridgework, marine and more.
In this role you are responsible for enabling the completion of jobs in a timely manner by scheduling and overseeing the work crew, ensuring equipment and materials are enough, repairing and maintaining equipment, training crews, and assisting with special projects as assigned.
Your Daily Responsibilities
-Liaison among work force team, superintendents, project managers, trades, clients.
-Navigate conflict or obstacles with effective resolutions
-Oversee and ensure that all safety rules are always being followed
-Complete and submit all required reports and receipts/documents
-Ensure safe and appropriate use of equipment on job sites
-Understand project plans and specifications
-Communicate project progress and status to stakeholders
-Assess and relay to supervisor(s) the associated work force and equipment to meet deadlines & schedules
-Arrange for materials and verify contents of inventory loads and maintain awareness of location of suppliers and products in work areas
-Produce work schedules, monitor work time and efficiency
-Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and procedures
-Ensure the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment; train as necessary
-Ensure proper construction following company standards and ensure adherence to job specifications
EXPERIENCE
Minimum
· Minimum 5 years-experience as a concrete foreman
· OSHA 10 construction certification
· Valid driver’s license
· Travel to project job sites
A Plus
· Experience in marine construction
· Experience in heavy civil construction, large scale projects
· ACI Finisher
SKILLS
· Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others
· Extensive knowledge of construction best practices, equipment maintenance and use, and OSHA guidelines
· Ability to lead, motivate, manage direct the work of others and make quick decisions
· Deep knowledge of the construction industry and processes
· Maintain time sheets/daily logs
· Knowledge of commonly-used construction concepts, practices, and procedures
· Operate hand and power tools of all types
· Equipment selection based on job requirements
