Immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic III

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Mechanic (III) is responsible for supporting all aspects of machine maintenance and upkeep including, but not limited to, preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustment, and repairs on mechanical and electrical machines and equipment to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and within companies safety, quality, and business standards.

Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and building systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions and diagnose root causes of issues to implement effective repair solutions.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for maintenance staff and other employees.
  • Install and repair electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
  • Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Able to read blueprints, ladder logic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Able to use the control systems on equipment and machinery to start, move, test, and properly shut down to complete necessary work.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements, Experience, & Education (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience working in roles that include mechanical, electrical and/or other general maintenance areas.
  • Ability to mentor, supervise, and guide other members of the team.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working in various conditions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
