Appleton Moving Company and our subsidiaries have been moving our customers since April 1920. Our team is dedicated to delivering on our promise of an excellent moving experience and honoring our commitment to our customers.

Location:

  • · Covers the Austin, Waco and surrounding areas of Texas
  • · Can be based out of either our Austin or Waco branches.
  • · On the road

 

Responsibilities:

  • · Network and build relationships.
  • · Gain access to potential residential, corporate and commercial moving and storage clients.
  • · Generate profitable leads and close deals.
  • · Produce above average results and exceed sales goals.

Requirements:

  • Must have high integrity and ethics
  • 3-5 years of experience working in Moving industry is strongly preferred.
  • Selling and closing skills and extensive follow-up skills.
  • Working knowledge of social media, marketing strategies and face to face networking.
  • Must be able to generate new sales and increase existing sales.
  • Must be able to convert pipeline to actual clients.
  • Positive, proactive, and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient using MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record as defined by safety team.
  • The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, rates, commissions, percentages.
  • The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • The ability to communicate and interface with many corporate and employee levels.
  • The ability to multitask and maintain high levels of customer services.

When Bill Appleton Jr. got the opportunity to acquire the small moving company he worked for in 1981, he jumped at the chance. Mr. Appleton envisioned creating a company that would provide top-quality service that reflected his personal values of integrity, hard work, and good stewardship.

What started with one small moving company has grown into one of the top moving and storage companies in Texas and has eight locations throughout Texas.

Today, Appleton Moving Company has over 200 employees and offers residential, international, and office moving services, as well as distribution and storage solutions.
