CLIENT PARTNER PROFILE & VALUE PROPOSITION: Leapros has been engaged by a large medical technology company to source a Material Handler for their location in Central Orange County.

POSITION TITLE: Material Handler I

POSITION SUMMARY: The warehouse associate will handle, move and store various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. Their main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders. Forklift Operation is including in this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Pull parts from inventory locations
Package items to be shipped in a manner so that the items arrive undamaged
Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
Certified in forklift operation
Place materials into stock
Generate air/way bills
Maintain filing systems in support of policy and procedure
Arrange for pickups from vendors
Enter all shipments received on a receiving log sheet
Distribute items received to the addressed departments or individuals
Verify contents of incoming shipments to packing slips and purchase orders
Provide warehouse security during business hours by following process and procedure
Notify supervisor of damaged receipts
Photocopy paperwork for record keeping
Distribute paperwork in a timely manner
Maintain warehouse integrity and cleanliness
Perform general labor tasks as needed
Operate automated packaging equipment and other material handling equipment
Notify supervisor of equipment needing repair/calibration or in unsafe condition
Ensure part integrity by following process and procedure in parts handling and Electro Static Discharge
Assemble standard crates for equipment to be shipped
Operate power saw and hand tools
Assist in the staging and de-staging of equipment for tradeshows
Build and assemble customized crates
Monitor and re-order supplies when needed
Work on wide variety of routine tasks that involve some choice of actions within limits
Position duties involve making some decisions and recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Good driving record and valid CA Drivers License 
Able to drive a truck
Knowledge of computer data systems
Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships
Ability to work overtime as required to meet business demands
Minimum: 1 years Experience in shipping and receiving
Preferred: 2 years Experience in shipping and receiving

PAY TRANSPARENCY: A reasonable estimate of the available {annual or hourly} pay scale for this position is: $20-22/hr. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
