Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at Virgin Galactic. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth movement, storage, and control of raw materials, supplies, and finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect freight upon arrival and document any signs of damage
  • Accurately receive all inbound deliveries into the ERP system and maintain records of all receipts
  • Visually monitor inventory levels and communicate low levels to buyers, schedulers, and others as necessary
  • Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move parts to proper locations and load/offload freight trucks as required
  • Maintain accurate inventory, performing cycle counting, and physical inventory of stock
  • Perform accurate transactions in the ERP system for issuing materials to appropriate cost center projects
  • Verify all incoming documentation and applicable certifications are correct
  • Responsible for timely delivery of all packages that include stock and non-stock items
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 2+ years' experience in Supply Chain environment
  • Experience in high technology, advanced materials, or aerospace industries preferred
  • Good written/verbal communication skills, strong analytical skills
  • Strong experience with material movement and computerized inventory management
  • Familiar with working with freight delivery companies
  • Physically able to unpack, pack, lift, and transport boxed items weighing up to 50 pounds
