Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the branch and serves as a generalist in all managerial and administrative functions. Plans, organize, and control the facility through effective communication, support, guidance, and training of all personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position. All actions, responsibilities, and job duties must be performed safely by the company’s safety policies and procedures.
Maintenance of interior and exterior of the facility, ensuring all equipment is in order, and all government, state, or city codes and regulations are enforced.
Timely and accurate tracking of all D.O.T records, B.I.T. inspections, and pull notices. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
Develop inventory controls to track inventory levels and turns with particular attention to rotation and dispersal of slow or old inventory.
Consistent and frequent inspection of the yard to identify the old or damaged product to create sales strategies for quick sales.
Act as a conduit between Corporate and branch employees to ensure proper execution and compliance of Corporate initiatives.
Manage all requests for administrative reporting dictated by Corporate in a timely fashion that provides accurate reporting.
Develop and maintain close working relationships with vendor sales representatives by organizing product-training seminars, updating showroom displays, and jointly implementing sales incentives to grow sales with vendors.
Hiring skilled employees that can be nurtured for growth within the company. Hiring responsibilities for inside and outside sales, administrative positions, warehouse, delivery, or other trade personnel.
Provide comprehensive training in sales, OSHA fall protection, safety meetings, or other areas dictated by Corporate or appropriate to the market needs.
Direct and supervise the efforts of all outside sales personnel by setting sales and activity goals and implementing appropriate measures and controls.
Make periodic sales calls to ensure outside sales representatives perform at a high level and provide the level of service expected of RWC employees.
Corporate controls pricing standards by minimizing price deviations and implementing strategies to maintain high profit margins and revenue.
Set accountability and control measures for all cash drawers and company checks. Ensure safety protocols are in place for theft prevention.
Review DCRs daily and discuss deviations, variations, or initiatives with the appropriate Executive Management team member.
Meticulously review open order status reports on a bi-weekly basis.
Develop, maintain, and expand the customer base in the given market by using appropriate sales techniques that foster relationship building.
Maintain current information on market conditions that includes a competitive analysis and customer trends to identify appropriate pricing, product, and growth strategies.
Handle customer concerns, problems, or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain customer loyalty through open communication, empathy, and constructive feedback.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
A bachelor’s degree (4-year degree) or equivalent; 5-7 years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience in the construction industry are highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Working Conditions
Ability to perform all job functions safely and efficiently, consistent with safety policies and procedures.
Must be able to wear all required personal protective gear when needed.
Ability to work at a computer for long periods, sitting most of the time.
Able to communicate effectively, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively, and demonstrate high integrity.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, and reach.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds often, up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
The employee may be exposed to various materials, fumes, odors, loud noises, chemicals, and dust during the working day.
