As a Quality Control Inspector (QCI), you play a pivotal role in delivering quality assurance and support services for the State of California Community Services and Development low-income weatherization contract. Embrace the opportunity to travel throughout California, conducting inspections and contributing to our dedication to excellence. Ideally, this person would be located in the Bay Area / Sacramento surrounding regions.

What you’ll do:
• Travel and Inspections: Conduct visual inspections and diagnostic tests across California as required by the weatherization contract.
• Customer Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with customers, agencies, subcontractors, and external entities.
• Operational Procedures: Ensure consistent implementation and suggest enhancements to procedures.
• Equipment Management: Maintain and secure company-issued equipment responsibly.
• Training Support: Provide diagnostic support for training programs, demonstrating leadership, and offering guidance.
• Reporting: Generate operational reports to contribute to process improvement.
• Professional Development: Engage in our professional development program when possible.
• IT Applications: Effectively use the Company’s IT applications following policies and procedures.
• Field Staffing Support: Cover temporary voids in staffing as directed by the Project Manager.

What we are looking for:
• 2-3 years construction experience with a strong understanding of building science and energy efficiency and/or approximately 280 hours of completed in-house training, including relevant certifications and core classes.
• Travel requirement 50% - 100%
• Be able to read, analyze, and present information effectively while responding to questions.
• Define results, collect data, establish resolutions, and draw conclusions with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication, engineering, and energy efficiency analysis skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Preferred certifications include California HERS I, BPI QCI, and Building Inspection experience.

Physical Requirements:
• Capable of physical tasks and lifting/moving up to 70 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, bend, stoop, crawl, and frequently climb up and down ladders.
• Adapt to a moderate noise level while performing essential functions.
• Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Compensation:
• The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $28-31/hour including per diem and travel reimbursement.
Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position includes some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws and company bonus/commission.
