WAREHOUSE IN FONTANA,CA. Schedule is 7 AM - 4 PM, Monday - Friday. Successful candidates will have experience working in a fast paced and challenging warehouse and distribution environment.

 

Under the direction of the Fontana Warehouse Manager & Supervisor, the Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the administration of material logistics in a fast-paced warehouse. She/he will be responsible for insuring timely turnaround on material requests, material receipts (both physical and within the Oracle accounting system). The Warehouse Technician will also be responsible for Inventory control, accuracy and administration of periodic cycle counts in Lightower inventory locations. Position responsibilities involve continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives inventory items via Financial / Accounting software suite Physically locates inventory items
  • Receives non inventory items per RMAs
  • Processes decommissioned inventory items returned from Network Resolves receipt vs invoice conflict / discrepancies with AP
  • Processes standard and freight shipments thru shipping vendor's online portal
  • Maintains shipping log details in each Transaction Issues inventory items to projects manually or automatically in Financial / Accounting software Stages, reserves, & allocates inventory items per system requests
  • Creates and maintains inventory item IDs in Financial / Accounting software Performs periodic cycle counts of inventory items
  • Performs periodic Physical Inventory (PI) Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Performs assigned housekeeping duties as required.
  • Additional duties and Overtime as requested.

Job Knowledge:

  • Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
  • Must pass drug screening and background check.
  • Previous OSHA forklift operations and certification experience (sit down and stand-up forklifts) Experience with handheld scanners and their use in putting away or issuing inventory.
  • Understanding of basic inventory control principles.
  • Experience picking orders with a high level of picking accuracy.
  • Understanding of Lot Control.

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment High School diploma or GED Excellent communication skills (speak and write fluent English) Strong MS Office and data entry skills Oracle or JDE ERP systems experience a plus Understanding of UPS/FedEx shipping software.
  • High level of attention to detail and follow through.
  • Excellent customer service with a positive service attitude and proactive mindset
