Job DescriptionJob Description

 

Missile Launcher Platform Systems Support personnel performs technical support and analyst functions for the Systems Engineering and Integration (SEI) Directorate at the Strategic Operational Rockets and Missiles (STORM) Project Office.  Position will be primarily focused on launcher platform fire control systems, electronics, communications equipment and systems engineering.  Must have a working knowledge of the major weapon systems engineering, integration and testing, development of capability requirements, performance specifications and interface control documentation.  Will assist in the development, integration, test and production of all STORM PO Missile Launcher Platform systems. Will perform data research, analyses and assessments/recommendations for the government. Will participate in and prepare government and contractor program meetings/reviews for program execution and resolution of potential issues.  Must be able to work independently and must be able to independently organize and conduct analyses/research at the task level.  Additional duties will include leading IPTs, customer engagement, and coordination of project execution.  Should have experience in developing functional knowledge of program/task order specific requirements and demonstrated ability in developing functional requirements for complex projects.

Experience and Skills

Required:

·         Minimum experience degree/years- HS/20, AS/16, BS/15, MS/12, PhD/8

·         Weapon systems experience

·         Experience leading a technical group and IPTs

·         Hardware and software development and qualification experience

·         Electrical systems and interfaces experience or STEM background

·         Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

·         Travel will be required.

Desired:

 ·         Fire Control System experience

·         Tactical radio communications experience

·         Systems engineering plan development

·         Technical requirement development for capabilities

·         Performance specification and interface control documentation development and assessment

·         Risk and opportunity management experience

·         Experience supporting government engineering contract management activity

·         Major weapon systems life cycle acquisition process experience

·         Military experience a plus
