Job DescriptionJob Description

Missile Software Engineering Support personnel perform technical support and analyst functions for the Systems Engineering (SE) Directorate Software Division at the Strategic Operational Rockets and Missiles (STORM) Project Office.

Duties include: the support to acquisition of missile tactical software development, testing and the deployment/fielding of software versions; review of software documentation; Knowledge of software development process and systems process; use of Microsoft Project in the assessment of developed software schedules; management of software requirements; support to integration testing with STORM launchers; application of risk management tools to assess development and performance risks; support to budget analyst in cost determinations for tactical software projects; understanding of Agile software development processes. Travel at 10% or less.

Must be able to work independently and must be able to independently organize and conduct analyses/research at the task level. Should have experience in developing functional knowledge of program/task order specific requirements and demonstrated ability in developing functional requirements for complex projects.

Experience and Skills

Required:

· 5 years minimum experience

· Weapon Systems experience

· Software and Electrical systems and interfaces experience

· Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

· Travel will be required.

Desired:

· Fire Control System and munition experience

· Hardware and software development and qualification experience

· Systems engineering plan development

· Technical requirement development for capabilities

· Performance specification and interface control documentation development and assessment

· Risk and opportunity management experience

· Experience supporting government engineering contract management activity

· Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

· Major weapon systems life cycle acquisition process experience

· Military experience a plus
