Landscape Site Manager

K&K is currently hiring for two open positions as Full-Time Landscape Site Managers to manage landscaping operations at Langley Air Force Base and/or Fort Eustis Base locations in Hampton, VA
Role Description
This is a Full-Time position; as a landscape site manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of landscape maintenance and compliance of the scope of work at your assigned military base. This includes ensuring QC, creating reports, reporting to the project manager, addressing base complaints, employee corrections, supervising and dispatching up to 15-20 employees, and more
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the project manager, create schedules, and ensure items per the PWS are completed.
- Oversee ground maintenance/landscape crews, coordinating workers' efforts to ensure proper maintenance of the grounds and use of equipment under their care.
- Supervise all lawn maintenance service activities of the crew and ensure that crew members are operating safely at all times.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality control and compliance with safety regulations.
- Supervise and guide on-site landscape teams, providing leadership and support.
- Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
- Work with the Project Manager to implement and oversee pesticide application programs, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Ensure employees show up and provide insights to the Project Manager.
- Perform other work as required.
Qualifications:
- Clean background and ability to undergo DOJ level Background checks as this is a military installation.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory-level landscape experience.
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance project management.
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and horticultural practices.
- Knowledge of landscape equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of maintenance on all landscape equipment such as Zero turn mowers, Batwing mowers, tractors, etc.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
- Previous experience working on military installations is preferred but not required.
- Certification in landscape management or related field is a plus.
