ob Overview:

We are looking for a versatile and skilled Handyman with over three years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, providing exceptional service to our clients. While familiarity with all skill sets is a plus, having proficiency in at least one from each category is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Repairs:

    • Fixing broken fixtures and fittings.
    • Repairing and replacing damaged walls and ceilings.
    • Addressing minor plumbing and electrical issues.

  • Plumbing:

    • Repairing leaks and clogs in pipes and drains.
    • Replacing or repairing faucets, toilets, and showerheads.
    • Installing and repairing water heaters.

  • Electrical Work:

    • Replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
    • Troubleshooting and repairing minor electrical faults.
    • Installing ceiling fans and other electrical appliances.

  • Carpentry:

    • Building and repairing wooden structures, including cabinets and shelves.
    • Installing and repairing doors, windows, and trim.
    • Constructing custom wooden items and furniture.

  • Painting and Drywall:

    • Preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding and priming.
    • Applying paint and finishing coats.
    • Repairing and installing drywall, including taping, mudding, and sanding.

  • Tiling and Flooring:

    • Installing and repairing tiles, including grouting and sealing.
    • Repairing or replacing damaged flooring, including hardwood, laminate, and vinyl.

  • HVAC:

    • Performing routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
    • Troubleshooting and repairing minor issues with HVAC units.

  • Exterior Work:

    • Repairing and maintaining roofs, gutters, and downspouts.
    • Performing general upkeep on exterior walls and siding.
    • Installing and repairing fences and decks.

  • Miscellaneous Tasks:

    • Assembling furniture and other items.
    • Installing fixtures such as curtains, blinds, and mirrors.
    • Performing general maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and air filters.

  • Customer Service:

    • Communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide accurate estimates.
    • Ensuring high levels of satisfaction with completed work.
    • Maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude at all times.

  • Safety Compliance:

    • Following all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Using personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a variety of handyman tasks.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in at least one skill from each category (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.) is required.
    • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and various equipment; strong problem-solving abilities; and a keen eye for detail.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical work, plumbing, or other related fields are a plus.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks that may require standing for extended periods.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Drive MUST OWN A VEHICLE TO DRIVE DAILY TO WORK ORDERS
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to assess and address issues promptly and efficiently.
