We are currently seeking to hire a Multi-Family Energy Rating Inspector (Statewide) to join our team You will be inspecting residential homes/units with a primary focus on apartment complexes for compliance with different energy programs and building codes.

CANDIDATE MUST LIVE IN THE PHOENIX METROPOLITAN AREA (Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler)

--Our main office location is in Gilbert, AZ--

This is a physical job and you will be climbing ladders, going into attics, carrying equipment (50lbs and under) and reaching above your head to reach ceilings of different heights.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to multi-family construction job sites throughout greater Phoenix and Tucson Metro areas
  • You will use your own car for travel (mileage is reimbursed)
  • Conduct inspections of homes/units to confirm compliance with energy program requirements. This includes inspections of:
  • Framing
  • Insulation
  • HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Duct work
  • and more
  • Take photos and generating reports with results
  • Hold trades training and other informational meetings
  • Conduct tests using specialized equipment including:
  • Building air tightness
  • Duct tightness
  • and more
  • Work closely with building superintendents and/or trade partners using personal cell phone (cell phone allowance included with pay)
  • There will be several weeks of mentored training before conducting independent inspections
  • This includes passing RESNET Rating Field Exam

Qualifications:

  • Able to pass a background check
  • Reliable vehicle that can carry equipment and ladder
  • Computer and Android experience
  • Spreadsheets, web-browsing, data entry, etc.
  • Proficient in math - calculating volume, area, formulas, etc.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and ability to climb minimum 8ft ladder
  • Inspections can include climbing into attics and small spaces
  • Proficient in English - Spanish speaking is a plus
  • Residential construction experience is a plus
  • Building science experience is a BIG plus

Compensation:

  • Benefits - eligible after 30 days

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
