Position: Full-Time Personal Injury Attorney

Our Texas Division is experiencing exciting growth, and we are seeking a passionate and skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join our team. Position Overview: As a Personal Injury Attorney at The Ledger Law Firm, Texas Division, you will be responsible for representing clients in personal injury cases, from initial consultation through trial and settlement. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop case strategies, and advocate on their behalf to secure the best possible outcomes. This role requires a blend of legal expertise, client management skills, and a commitment to justice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Oversee and manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution, including investigating claims, gathering evidence, and developing legal strategies.
  • Client Representation: Advocate on behalf of clients in negotiations, depositions, and court proceedings. Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed and address their concerns.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy, including analyzing relevant laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, settlement agreements, and other pleadings.
  • Settlement Negotiation: Engage in settlement discussions and negotiations with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Trial Preparation: Prepare for and represent clients in trials (2nd Chair Possible), including presenting evidence, examining witnesses, and making legal arguments.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure effective case management and support.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice law in Texas.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a personal injury attorney, with a proven track record of successful case management and client representation.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and proficiency in legal research and case management software.
  • Attributes: Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload, think strategically, and work independently with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
