Job Title:  Child Development Specialist
Location: Philadelphia, PA (ONSITE)

Pay rate: $ 23 an hour

Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
Contract Duration: 3 months (Temp-to-hire)

Working Hours: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Total Weekly Hours: 40 hrs

SUMMARY

  • The Child Development Specialist is responsible for increasing parenting skills, focusing on intervention and prevention while enhancing the developmental potential of children.
  • Responsible for supervising the prevention and intervention center and staff.
  • The CDS will supervise the parent support to ensure the program is covered for the children throughout the evening, and assistance is given to their mothers.
  • The CDS collaborates with DHS CYS (Children & Youth Service) and CUA to correlate care to mothers and children while in treatment.
  • This may include agency meetings, attending court, and collaborating with legal entities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitate weekly and monthly parenting groups.
  • Participate in Clinical Case Consultation, Treatment Plan Update meetings, and clinical supervision.
  • Oversee the completion of the children's treatment plan and implementation of the curriculum.
  • Provide milieu therapy as required. (Implement/model intervention in the program).
  • Complete all pertinent documentation to include client sessions, interactions and other required paperwork to ensure compliance with funder state regulations.
  • Responsible for obtaining all birth records, social security cards and immunization within 21 days no longer than 30 days after admission. Physicals within 7 days of admission.
  • Escort residents on appointments as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director(s) to ensure continuity of care and foster a supportive nurturing environment for growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Candidates MUST obtain a bachelor's in SW; ECE or a related field
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a related field
  • Full-time, Sunday-Thursday, 9 AM- 5 PM. Temp-Hire
