Magic Memories is looking for a Lead Pre-K Counts Assistant Teacher to join our Magic Memories Norristown family

As a Pre-K Counts Assistant Teacher, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the children in your care, creating a supportive and educational environment, and upholding the core values of Magic Memories. You will have the opportunity to strengthen the overall culture of the center and to be a role model for our staff, families, and local community.

Pre-K Counts Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the correct functioning and well-being of the site, co-workers, children, and families, while maintaining ratios and supervision at all times.
  • Understand, adhere to, and be an example of the Company and Center policies, procedures, benefits, responsibilities, activities, systems, Core Values, and NAEYC Code of Ethics.
  • Assists with the planning of a developmentally appropriate educational experience in the classroom such as storytelling, centers, songs, games, and education and recreational activities designed to improve fine and gross motor skills.
  • Teaches students to follow rules and procedures in the classroom and school.
  • Assists with monitoring students’ progress throughout the year and evaluates developmental progress.
  • Communicates all progress and concerns with tact and professionalism to parents and the Director and Assistant Director.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with parents.
  • Enforces safety and security standards for children, co-workers, and visitors.
  • Maintains required paperwork for individual student files, attendance and incident reports, and other necessary records.

Pre-K Counts Assistant Teacher Requirements:

  • Associate's in Early Childhood Education or CDA
  • Min 2 years of experience in childcare
  • Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • A desire to make a difference in the lives of children

No weekend or evening hours

We have 2 locations with Pre-K Counts classrooms: Green Lane & Norristown
