Summary: Support Lenders in originating and maintaining loan portfolios including various administrative and sales support duties. Serve as a liaison between customers and lenders in order to maximize the productivity and effectiveness of the lenders. Provide a work flow between Loan Officers and Loan Operations for requesting loan documents. Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by effectively handling service transactions and issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately request necessary loan documents for consumer, commercial, agricultural, real estate and construction loans including specialty loans such as Small Business Administrations, letters of credit and participation loans.
  2. Coordinate with Loan Operations for completion of loan documents.
  3. Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness prior to loan closings with customers.
  4. Check and review scanned loan documents to accurately match originals documents to the scanned information.
  5. Comply with BSA and Compliance standards for the Bank as defined in the BSA and Compliance policies.
  6. Perform a variety of duties such as assisting the preparation of loan presentations, letters, memos, loan comments, and various loan department reports.
  7. Provide professional customer service by greeting and directing customers and visitors.
  8. Assist lenders with all sales and sales support activities.
  9. Communicate and effectively work in harmony with all staff.
  10. Provides professional customer service by responding in a timely and accurate manner to customer requests or questions concerning balances, posting errors, EFT transactions, and requests for research.
  11. Produces forms and documents according to established policy and procedure to ensure proper notification of customers, managers and outside processors.
  12. Maintains a thorough understanding of a variety of operational procedures and regulatory compliance by reading periodicals, attending classes, developing and understanding of various subjects such as: certificates of deposit, legal ownership of accounts, IRS rules and regulations and loan policy.

Other Qualifications: Customer focused individual with knowledge of bank products and processes. Knowledge of loan products is a big plus. Ability to function effectively and efficiently as a team member. Able to handle and resolve most problems and exceptions in an independent manner. Demonstrated follow through skills.

Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: Ability to use a personal computer. Knowledge of software products in Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift under 1/3 of the time up to 25 pounds.
