Bilingual Receptionist

The primary objective of a receptionist is to greet customers in a polite and professional manner, answer questions, announce calls or provide direction. In addition receptionist is responsible for answering a multi-line telephone system quickly and direct calls to their destination without delay.
Receptionist will be trained in preparing Retainer Agreement made between the law office and client. In addition, he/she will collect payment, prepare receipts, log information in a log sheet, and open files. Prepare routine letters to client in Spanish or English. As needed perform translating duties for attorneys and staff.
KNOWLEDGE:
Candidate must be proficient in speaking and writing in Spanish as well as English
Proficient in the usage of a computer and its various programs
Familiar with standard office procedures
Familiar with filing system
ABILITY TO:
Work in a fast paced office where multiple tasking is the norm
Perform a variety of clerical work involving use of independent judgment requiring accuracy
Receive and give information over the telephone or in person in a courteous and professional manner
Must be able to handle a variety of telephone calls and personal contacts in courteous and professional manner with tact, diplomacy and discretion
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Establish and maintain effective working relationship with coworkers, attorneys and the general public
Translate from Spanish to English written or verbally
