Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for a Senior Staff Accountant for our client in the real estate industry. This client needs some temporary assistance in their accounting department, and the Senior Staff Accountant will be brought in on a contract basis for a period of 2-3 months. This role is fully onsite in their Westmont, IL office, and the ideal candidate will be able to interview immediately and start shortly thereafter.

Responsibilities:

  • Bank Reconciliations: Focus on completing approximately 45 bank reconciliations weekly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Financial Reporting: Run and analyze financial reports, ensuring they align with the General Ledger in Yardi.
  • Month-End Close: Reconcile accounts to guarantee accuracy during month-end close processes.
  • Journal Entries: Occasionally assist with light journal entry tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High Energy: Someone who’s ready to dig in, even when tasks are repetitive, and contribute to the team’s success.
  • Team Culture: You’ll be working in an upbeat, open office where music plays and conversations flow. You don’t need to be a social butterfly, but being comfortable with a lively environment is key.
  • Tech Requirements: iPhone or Android required for work-related communication.
  • Bank Reconciliation/Cash Management Experience: Previous experience is essential for this role.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills: Competence in Excel is crucial for handling the tasks at hand.
  • Personality Fit: Whether you’re outgoing or more reserved, you should be comfortable working in a vibrant, sometimes noisy environment.
  • Real Estate Experience: Knowledge of the real estate industry is a plus.
  • Yardi Experience: Familiarity with Yardi software will give you an edge.
