Summary of Position

The Creative Assistant is responsible for bringing leadership to the Creative and Communications / Marketing efforts internally and externally. Creative Assistant will be responsible for initiating social media strategies and timelines for services, departments, special events, and conferences. Creative Assistant will also be responsible for finding and overseeing creative concepts for services, and moderating stories of life change to share on video and social media, as well as serve in any way directed by the Creative Director / Lead Pastors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Creative Team
    • Responsible for the creative direction of the weekend services for all campuses
    • Lead communication, ClearStream, and BVA
    • Work with other departments to coordinate services and events as needed.
    • Communicate projects progress with the Creative Director 
    • Planning and coordination of weekend services, special events and conferences.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with other Creative Assistants for learning. 
    • Maintain creative quality of multisite with campus pastors to ensure a quality of production at their campus
    • Work with Yellowbox to coordinate all projects.
    • Produce marketing (internal and external) for all series kickoffs, conferences and events.
    • Gather life change stories by the 15th of every month and storyboard for video shoots to be shared with the church upon request by Pastor or as part of sermon idea. 
    • Maintain system to file life change stories 
    • Create and maintain budgets for special events (auditorium experience only)
    • Give final approval for all videos and print pieces
    • Serve as the producer for the weekend services at the Baytown Campus.
    • Responsible for responding and approving requests on basecamp
    • Other duties as assigned like sermon illustration 
    • Create & maintain agenda outline’s for all creative meetings.
    • Work with the Creative Director to ensure PCO (Planning Center) details and rundown is accurate. 
    • Serve as the manager and oversight for all the copyrighted material and intellectual property under the control of the Creative Department.
    • Ensure legal compliance to the use of copyrighted materials and ensure that the intellectual property created by the Creative Team is protected.


2.  Marketing / Social Media :

    • Understand the FFC brand and support it and improve it through all social media
    • Meet with BVA weekly to discuss creative ideas, content planning, and communication strategies. 
    • BVA - content calendar and approval of posts 
    • Work with BVA to Manage all aspects of FFC Social Media which includes but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to ensure all posts are life-giving, relevant, informational, and inspirational. 
    • Ensure BVA is responding to all FB messages and comments in a timely manner.
    • Stay current on social media trends
    • Create timelines for social media messaging
    • Manage BVA to coordinate marketing efforts for FFC that include FFC News, web, e-newsletter, and social media
    • Working closely with BVA on Slack for approvals for final post. 
    • Approve all form of communication with BVA 


3.   Scripting FFC News / Host Moments / Church Wide Emails / Weekly Text 

    • Manage BVA for writing of, Church wide emails and editing FFC News script, Weekly Clearstream text Messaging,  
    • Scheduling approved talent for videos shoots
    • Serve as Creative Liaison with other FFC ministry leads, to increase innovation, excellence, and quality within age-specific ministries.
    • Provide oversight, leadership, and direction to the internal and external public relations strategy, including web presence and brand strategy for FFC.


4.  Website

    • Ensure the FFC brand is communicated through the website.
    • Ensure the website is updated weekly. (Use BVA as support when needed) 
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure information is accurate and up to date on the website. 


5.  Stream Team

    • Responsible for ensuring people are responded to on any livestream platform during a service or event for Faith Family. (FB, Church online, and YouTube)
    • Build, develop and lead the stream team to ensure they understand the language, culture, vision and mission of Faith Family Church. 

Experience and Knowledge Required

  • Experience promoting a brand or organization with social media (Including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) 
  • Effective time management skills
  • Writing and editing experience
  • General knowledge of design concepts with a pulse for current trends and techniques
  • Ability to storyboard or translate ideas to others and develop innovative solutions.
  • Must have strong presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work in and understand the intricacies of a ministry-conscious environment
  • Strong team player that is organized, enthusiastic and enjoys people.
  • Personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, judgment and accountability
  • Proficiency in Planning Center, Basecamp, Monday.com, Google Office
