Job Overview

Partners Personnel is collaborating with a logistics firm to fill positions for skilled Material Handlers with forklift operation experience. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement and management of goods within the warehouse environment.

Position: Material Handler

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift
Working Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM * Overtime may be available
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively locate and retrieve products using both manual methods and motorized equipment, including forklifts, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Safely maneuver forklifts to transport, organize, and inventory merchandise.
  • Assist in loading and unloading shipments, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
  • Execute specialized order processing tasks such as labeling, wrapping, and consolidating items as needed.
  • Follow operational guidelines for loading picked orders accurately.
  • Utilize forklifts and other equipment to stage and organize products and materials.
  • Designate trailers to the correct dock or yard location.
  • Conduct daily inspections and prepare trailers for loading activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support physical inventory processes to ensure security of the facility and its contents.
  • Assemble packaging materials as directed by supervisors.
  • Engage in safety initiatives and maintain 5S standards.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Two years of experience operating forklifts.
  • Understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to operate various types of forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or related fields is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
