Construction Field Inspection Technician

Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsibilities

In this role, the technician will train under a senior field technician or inspector and will:

  • ensure proper construction materials are being used through visual inspection, field testing, and lab testing
  • collection of test samples of the materials (i.e., concrete, soil, asphalt, rebar, surface stone, steel, etc.)
  • perform field testing; could include slump testing, soil compression, soil density, permeability, and hydrometer
  • document findings and provide complete, detailed reports
  • travel, as needed, around the Cincinnati/Dayton area (mileage reimbursed)

Requirements

  • MUST have a minimum of one (1) year of field inspection experience

                                                       OR

  • degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Geology
  • Favorable MVR
  • Favorable Background Screen
  • Favorable Drug Screen

Preferences

  • ACI Certification
  • NICET Certification
  • Nuclear Density Gauge experience
