Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan the layout of plumbing systems, including water supply and waste disposal.
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical systems).
  • Install and maintain water supply systems, including faucets, sinks, and toilets.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with water supply lines, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Install and repair gas and liquid heating systems, such as water heaters and HVAC units.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Respond to plumbing emergencies, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a plumber, with a solid understanding of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
  • Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe wrenches, cutters, and soldering tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or a diploma from a trade school.
  • Valid plumbing license as required by state regulations.
