Job DescriptionJob Description

Be part of a professional team in a positive work environment.  Manage financial resources, A/R, collections and management of member accounts including DFS billing.  Provide clerical and administrative support for the Main site.  Strong communication skills and attention to details.  General bookkeeping experience is a plus.  Must be proficient in Word and Excel. 

 

Requirements:

 

  1. Compute, classify, and record numerical data.

  2. Check children in/out

  3. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, verifying duties and maintaining accounting records.

  4. Check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and posting pertaining to any business transactions. 

  5. Perform other duties that may be required. 

  6. Able to multitask

 

Key Roles:

 

  1. Responsible for all calculations of members’ time spent at the Club. Invoices, receipts, and other financial documents must be prepared according to established procedures. 

  2. Maintain up-to-date and accurate member records.

  3. Contact parents regarding past due balances.

  4. Research any returned mail and update addresses in Vision. 

  5. Maintain daily cash/charge deposits.

  6. Assist with the completion of DFS paperwork including obtaining signatures from parents. 

  7. Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data, in order to compile and keep member and financial records, using computer print outs to assist in maintaining member files.

  8. Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. 

  9. Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.

  10. Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts. 

  11. Assist with all Club fundraisers.

  12. Work with the Financial Department to set up payment arrangements for members in need.

  13. Any other tasks assigned.

 

The Counter Control position at the Boys & Girls Club has a major role in the overall effectiveness of the Club. By developing a well-structured Counter Control position, the Club can better meet the needs of both child and parent. Proper coordination will assist the organization in fulfilling its mission.
