Job Description: The Superintendent will be responsible for managing and supervising all aspects of plumbing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial plumbing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of plumbing construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate and manage on-site activities, including the work of plumbers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure all work complies with specifications, blueprints, and industry standards.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors on the job site.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Maintain detailed records of project progress, including daily logs, change orders, and material usage.
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns or requests.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Mentor and develop on-site teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a superintendent role within the commercial construction industry, with a focus on plumbing.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation techniques in commercial settings.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors.
- In-depth understanding of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and best practices in construction site safety.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
