Summary: Overseeing all the daily activities of the Shipping Department. Responsible for the efficient flow of order processing and shipment of products. This may include functions of training, pulling, packing, checking, shipping, staging, inventory, transporting, and storage. Responsible for training, developing and motivating staff; delegating work assignments; monitoring individual and group performance to ensure high level of productivity and order accuracy; and for reviewing all distribution processes and procedures to continuously improve efficiency.

The schedule is Monday through Friday (no weekends, we are closed) from 1:00 pm until all the orders are pulled usually around 10:30 pm.

Essential Functions:

  • Owns PM Shipping operation.
  • Ensure efficient order flow processes. Alleviates any issue that arise within their power; escalates when outside of scope.
  • Uses production metrics to drive improvements within their direct reports on a continuous basis; provides performance feedback through formal communication. Coach, counsel, and initiate performance management steps.
  • Monitor individual and group performance in an effort to maximize productivity and order accuracy for the betterment of One Stop and its customers.
  • Performs weekly follow-up with new hires and makes sure they understand the best processes for optimal pulling.
  • Performs closing functions for the Shipping department – may be required to lock building, arm alarms, etc.
  • Performs employee audits to monitor and maintain compliance throughout the shift.
  • Manages all disciplinary measures such as point assignment, write-up confrontations, improvement conversations, etc.
  • Communicate with the other supervisors and oversee coordinators to maintain an even and steady workflow and maintain transparency within the operation.
  • May be a backup for any function in the Shipping Department; must be well versed in all functions of the operation.
  • Enforcement and clarification of company policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard inventories, facility, and staff. Operate in a safe manner for the benefit of self and others and maintain a watchful eye for unsafe practices and situations.
  • Ensures the shift maintains a clean, organized operation. Facilitates all housekeeping.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Minimum qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must have open availability.
  • Prior Supervisory experience is preferred.
