Summary

The HR Generalist will play a critical role in managing various human resources functions, including, but not limited to, recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and compliance with labor laws. This position requires a proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture. This position will be a part of the operations team.

 

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the company.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.

  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues and conflicts, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Performance Management:

  • Support the performance review process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters.

Compliance and Policy Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and staff resources, ensuring they are communicated effectively to employees.

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist in the administration of and be the liaison between staff and employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, benefits providers, and leave policies.

  • Conduct annual benefits reviews, orientations and provide support during open enrollment periods, as well as be responsible for implementation.

Training and Development:

  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on various HR topics, such as workplace harassment, diversity and inclusion, and professional development.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for employee training and career development.

HR Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system.

  • Generate HR reports and analyze data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Company Culture:

  • Organize and manage staff events and updates, including but not limited to:

  • Town Halls, employee birthdays, work anniversaries, annual Halloween party, holiday events, and assist department leaders with department social functions.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a generalist role.

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

  • Experience with employee engagement and change management initiatives.

  • Experience in PayCom is a plus.
