We are seeking an Electrical Assistant to support the Electrical Services team in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals seeking to develop their skills in the electrical trade. The Electrical Assistant will work closely with experienced electricians to ensure that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Electrical Helper Responsibilities
  • Assist electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, outlets, and fixtures.
  • Prepare and organize tools, materials, and equipment for job sites, ensuring everything is ready for efficient project execution.
  • Help with the layout and installation of electrical wiring and components according to specifications and codes.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks, such as running wire, drilling holes, and pulling cable, under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing routine inspections to identify potential problems.
  • Support the Electrical Services team with documentation, including recording work performed and materials used.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of electrical systems.
Electrical Helper Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in technology from an accredited 2-year technical college or similar military experience/training preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including overtime, evening, weekends, holidays and night hours as required
  • Eligibility to work in the US without need for employer sponsored VISA (work permit
Electrical Assistant Preferred Requirements
  • Experience performing medium voltage splicing and terminations
  • Experience with installation of switchgear and transformers
  • 5 plus years’ experience working on commercial and industrial electrical projects
  • 5 plus years’ hands-on experience utilizing industrial electrical test equipment
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70-E training
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
