We are working with a large firm with offices in CT and NY seeking two attorneys with four to six years of commercial real estate experience representing either borrowers and/or lenders to join its Chambers-ranked Real Estate practice group in Stamford, New Haven, or Hartford.

The firm represents private developers/sponsors, institutional owners, banks, REITs, national lessees, health care facilities, hospitals, insurance companies, educational institutions, investment and sovereign wealth funds, and government entities. They have experience in large, multi-jurisdictional, multi-party, structured transactions including acquisition and disposition, condominium, construction, debt and equity financing, development, federal and state based financing, joint ventures, leasing, low-income housing credits and zoning.

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience running diligence and drafting loan documents, supervising paralegals and junior associates, and managing transactions from start to finish.
  • Experience in all asset classes (e.g., office, multi-family, retail, hospitality), and experience with structured debt and secondary market (e.g., the buying and selling of loans) is preferred but not required.
  • One position requires knowledge of New York governing law, particularly New York lien law, and/or consolidation and assignments.
  • Admission to the CT bar is required, and an additional admission to the NY bar is preferred.
