Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual who has the potential to excel in the roofing industry. This person should be a self-driven team member with a passion for growth and success. No prior experience preferred.
Job Description:
In this entry-level position, you will start as a service helper, working closely with a Service Foreman to respond to leak calls and perform roofing repairs. As a Service Helper, you will undergo hands-on training, gaining valuable practical experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly grasp knowledge of commercial and residential roofing systems, such as TPO, PBC, EPDM, Metal, Shingle, and Flat roofs.
Duties:
This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, with the requirement to wear personal protective equipment like safety harnesses and gloves when on a roof. The job will entail frequently carrying loads, using equipment, and working from ladders. Depending on the week's weather, weekend work may be necessary. Additionally, there may be occasional travel out of state for 2-3 days, with the option to either drive back or stay overnight until the job is completed.
Job Requirements:
Ability to learn, follow instructions and ask questions.
Ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, and perform hands on work.
Ability to utilize software app to document repairs and service calls.
Ability to be accountable and efficient.
Desired Skills:
Proficient in following instructions.
Proficient in learning and effectively communicating with his crew leader.
Great interpersonal skills to interact with customers from time to time.
