Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs a valued member of our team, the Sales Assistant will support inside and outside sales representatives in selling ready mixed concrete products, reporting directly to the Sales Manager. This role involves administrative tasks, customer interaction, and coordination with various departments to ensure a seamless sales process. The objective is to enhance sales team efficiency and customer satisfaction by providing comprehensive support, handling inquiries, processing orders, and assisting with sales presentations and proposals.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. General days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours to be determined. Not eligible for remote work. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 based on experience.

Essential Functions:
Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, scheduling appointments, and maintaining customer databases.
Assist in processing and tracking customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of products.
Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with inside and outside sales reps to prepare sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and order statuses.
Facilitate communication between sales reps, customers, and other departments to ensure a smooth sales process.
Assist in gathering and analyzing market data to identify potential sales opportunities and trends.
Help organize and support sales events, meetings, and promotional activities.
Prepare regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends for the Sales Manager.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and initiatives.

Non-Essential Duties:
Follows up on customer complaint escalations.
Performs other tasks as required.

Preferred Education and Experience
Associates or Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in sales support or administrative role.
Experience in the construction or ready mixed concrete industry is a plus.
Familiarity with customer relationship management software.
Experience handling customer inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
