Job DescriptionJob Description

Our front desk veterinary assistants will utilize trained medical knowledge to work at front desk. As a front desk veterinary assistant, you will work closely with the medical staff as well as the daycare and boarding staff in an effort to provide quality medical care for our patients as well as resort care for our kennel guests. Village Gate Animal Hospital & Pet Resort is open 6 days a week (Monday through Saturday) for medical care and other services. As a front desk veterinary assistant, you will be working with clients over the services we provide for their canine and feline family members. No prior training is required, but a candidate must be a compassionate, fast learner, love animals, work well with people (both in a team environment and with customers), self motivated and hard working. Furthermore, candidates will be required to learn some medical knowledge (vaccinations, etc.) and must be able to multi-task (handling multiple customers, etc.). All staff is cross-trained at boarding to minimize holiday impact on any one staff member. We have full-time and part-time positions available. Hours will typically be between 7am and 8pm M-F and 8-5pm Sa.
