Express Employment Professionals in Center City Philadelphia is recruiting a full time Human Resources Manager on behalf of a non-profit client. They serve Philadelphia and surrounding counties. This opportunity is on-site in Philadelphia.

Purpose: This client has a "multicorporate" structure therefore each HR Manager supports designated departments within the corporation. The HR Manager acts as the liaison between the assigned departments and the HR Department, ensuring that the personnel need of each department is met through appropriate communication of agency policies and procedures and by maintaining an open-door availability, focusing on the needs of the organization.

  • Exercises authority with all levels of directors, managers, supervisors, and staff.
  • Guides and instructs all levels of employees in the application of HR related issues.
  • Provides direct supervision and ensures training re: HR Representatives.

Qualifications:

  • B.A. Degree in Human Resources, Business or Public Administration, or a closely related field prefer and at least two (2) years of relevant experience in employment processes; or any combination of experience, education, or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.
  • The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing applicant tracking and "Agency" recruitment resources; sourcing candidates through job boards, job fairs and social media*, conducting interviews, filing paperwork, and keeping abreast of employment law and legislation.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines.
  • Supervisory experience managing direct reports is required.
  • Flexibility to work with changing priorities, people, rules, and program needs a must.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and HRIS software required.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Strong attention to detail/accuracy and thoroughness.
  • High level of discretion to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to learn employment laws and regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be available for regional travel.
