Maintenance Refrigeration Technician

Job Type: Full time Schedule: 8-hour shift

 

SUMMARY

· The daily operation of all assigned equipment to support the operation, which is concerned with the maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery, used to support operations including refrigeration systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Safely operation and maintenance of facility equipment mainly ammonia systems

· Participate and promote employee’s safety and Food safety policies and practices.

· The direct operation and repair of all assigned Equipment, repair, and preventive maintenance functions.

· The identification of all needed parts supplies necessary to support his assigned equipment.

· Maintain sound procedures to complete all Work Orders within a timely period.

· Maintain the daily, weekly, and monthly record systems to support the Preventive Maintenance and Work Order system.

· Under no supervision, installs, maintains, repairs and/or rebuilds complicated machines and plant equipment.

· Disassembles problem equipment and determines extent of repairs necessary. Repairs, refits and/or replaces worn or defective parts.

· Establish a sound working relationship with all Production and Sanitation staff.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Electrical skills; motor and control devices troubleshoot, repair, change and/or install. PLC and electrical systems troubleshooting, replace and/or repair including the use of multimeter

· Proficient on industrial machinery repairs and/or probed specialty

· Proficient on Hydraulic, pneumatic

· Knowledge at the following trade skills: Welding (Stick, Meg, and Tig) in mild steel and stainless steel

· Proficient on the use of metal cutting tools (Plasma Arc and Gas).

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

· Two (2) years of working experience in the Maintenance field, preferred refrigeration , education can substitute experience

· Four (2) years Troubleshooting electric and mechanic systems

· Two (2) year degree with an accredited college or technical diploma of refrigeration or mechanical field.
