Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Objectives: The Die Plate Designer provides high-quality design and technical support for die plates and related items, working independently to support customers' pelletizing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review project specifications.
  2. Determine necessary items to be ordered.
  3. Provide customer CAD sketches and drawings.
  4. Meet tight design deadlines and work overtime when required.
  5. Lead technical discussions on design issues or proposed changes.
  6. Complete CAD models, detail drawings, bills of material, and shop information packets.
  7. Ensure digital information is transferred to CNC Programmers.
  8. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
  9. Prioritize quality, safety, and environmental considerations in all tasks.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: Associate’s Degree or higher in mechanical design.
  • Preferred: Certifications in mechanical design and/or analysis software (SolidWorks highly preferred).

Experience:

  • Preferred:
    • Mechanical design experience.
    • Willingness to travel.
    • Experience using SolidWorks.
